Approach

My therapeutic approach

My approach to therapy is integrative. I draw from several different psychotherapy perspectives (mainly interpersonal/relational, cognitive-behavioural/mindfulness, and emotion-focused) and provide my clients with treatment that 1) alleviates symptoms, 2) gives insight into the origins of their challenges, 3) offers practical and adaptive coping skills, and 4) empowers them to live authentically.

I carefully attend to my clients' needs and work hard to develop a trusting, authentic relationship. I am particularly intentional with my use of professional boundaries and clinical transparency to communicate this. I collaborate with my clients to develop a treatment plan that works for them, and we explore their concerns from a variety of different angles. My ultimate goal is to help clients make sense of their concerns, experience themselves more authentically in relationships, and then use these insights to create lasting change.
