About me

I am a licensed psychologist, clinical supervisor, consultant, and business owner located in the Sud-Ouest borough of Montréal. I am a caring, compassionate clinician who shows up authentically, with professionalism and a little bit of humour.

Background

Nearly fifteen years in private practice

I hold master's and doctoral degrees in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, and am a member of l'Ordre des psychologues du Québec. I have been practicing psychotherapy for 20+ years and currently work primarily with adults, aged 18+. I specialize in individual therapy for clients who have experienced developmental and complex trauma (e.g., childhood sexual abuse, neglect, adult children of alcoholic parents), as well as ADHD and neurodivergence, burnout, identity issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, addictive behaviours, and interpersonal difficulties.

I work from an integrative, trauma-informed approach that combines interpersonal psychotherapy with cognitive-behavioural and humanistic interventions.

In addition to my work in private practice, I am President and Co-Founder of Réunion Santé, a membership-based community supporting the private practice needs of mental health practitioners, and serve as a consultant to the Disability Programs and Specialized Services (DPSS) team at the Cree Health Board. At DPSS, I provide guidance on complex clinical cases, and develop trainings on trauma and ADHD for the Cree communities of James Bay.

Mission

To empower people to be who they are.

As a young child, I was diagnosed with Alopecia Universalis, an autoimmune condition that results in total hair loss. I have lived with Alopecia (and as a bald person) for most of my life, and have learned through my experiences both what it means to be different and how important it is to have people “on your side”. I know that when you feel different, you can feel lonely, isolated, depressed, anxious, scared, or angry. But I also know that strong, supportive relationships can soothe these feelings and teach you that what makes you different is exactly what makes you extraordinary.

My mission as a psychologist is to use my personal experiences and extensive psychology training to create a safe, trusting environment – a collaborative and connected relationship – that provides you with the support and tools you need to tap into your resilience and live more authentically. I believe everyone has something unique about them; qualities that make them cool, quirky, interesting, and important. Each one of us deserves the opportunity to learn to love these qualities for how they make us different. Although our experiences and relationships with individuals or institutions may sometimes teach us that we are “less than”, my mission is to undo this learning and empower my clients to be who they are, despite what they have been told.
